Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a student at Glasgow’s School of Art and designed the current building. It is now an international educational establishment were design, art and architecture are studied.

Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum

A recent restoration project has increased its exhibitions to around 8000 objects displayed on 3 floors. There are not only displays but interactive events and a gallery dedicated to Glasgow’s own Charles Rennie Mackintosh. |

Museum of Transport

The Museum of Transport is directly opposite the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. A wander around the museum is recommended if you want to indulge in the history of Glasgow’s transportation or if you want to get a close up of a formula one racing car. |
